Autorenporträt
Born and raised in San Diego, California, Jeffrey Turner had an interest in art from the time he received his first box of crayons. He majored in Advertising Design in college and worked in advertising in Manhattan for 30 years as an Art Director and Creative Director. After leaving advertising, he began writing and illustrating picture books. Ana Izquierdo is a Mexican editor and translator. Her love for books runs deep, and all kinds of volumes fill her cozy home. She creates many different things with her hands: beautiful stories for children in Spanish, warm blankets for the babies she loves and detailed embroideries for special clothes. She is driven by a need to always improve, to find new ways to enjoy life and to evolve... just like a Pokémon! Every day, since the first time she could read a line, Arlette de Alba has deeply enjoyed the stories in books. She loves discovering new worlds, cultures, and languages in them, and delights in finding the differences between the Spanish from Mexico, where she lives, and that of other parts of Latin America and Spain. Arlette has participated in the creation of more than a thousand books, either as writer, translator, editor, or publishing coordinator.
