Autorenporträt
Charlotte Godkin studied art in Oslo working for a famous writer. On returning to the UK, she was the secretary to several large companies including shipping and insurance. Charlotte's love of art, including the painting of wildflowers, began as a child. Charlotte recalls as an infant walking to school and passing gardens with lots of daisies. She was so terribly sad to see that on her return home, all the daisies had been beheaded and lay in black plastic bags. This led her to this inspiring Miss Daisy Weed series of books. Charlotte, now a professional artist specializing in paintings of wildflowers, fulfilled her dreams by writing of the miracles around us each day that can be taken so easily for granted, yet not to a child's imagination.
