Welcome to Hogshooter, where the town's history is as colorful as its characters. Preserved in the yellowed pages of the Sensible County Hysterical (Historical) Society, the legends of this peculiar town are taught to local third graders annually. Enter our newly retired narrator, a Hogshooter native returning home, who discovers those pages haven't changed in years. Armed with wit and sarcasm, the narrator sets out to rewrite Hogshooter's history, capturing its virtues and flaws. At the heart of these tales is Prunilla "Miss Nilla" Jacobs, the indomitable champion of the local library, who ran and funded it against all odds. Her story is just one of many delightful anecdotes painting a vivid picture of this eccentric town. Witness the comedic courtship and shotgun wedding of Ibby and Emiline Crank. Marvel at the Remarkable twins, Jimmie and James, who ran the town's pink marble bank, now a hair salon owned by the eyebrow-threading twins, Emma Lou and Lou Emma Curler. Meet Rip Flamingo, infamous for his moonshine-fueled, midnight, naked campfire runs. The town's latest claim to fame is a television show, Your Smelly Stuff Doesn't Belong in the Junkyard, bringing Hogshooter to life with its Antiques Roadshow-inspired charm.
