Helen Williamson is originally from Columbus County and currently lives in the Central Florida area. Despite being widowed at an early age, with very little education and in economic hardship, she managed to successfully raise five children. Her eldest daughter passed away from Lupus, so part of her charitable giving includes contributions to the Lupus Foundation with the hope that a cure will be found within her lifetime.At the age of fifty, Helen decided to go back to school and earn her high school diploma. She is also active in her church and has a passion to write children's books, using them as teaching tools to encourage self-esteem and self-value in our younger generation.
