Having trained as a food science and nutrition researcher, Susan holds a BS in Food Science from Brigham Young University and a MS in Nutrition from Arizona State University. She also obtained Master Herbalist Certification as well as Emotion Code Certification. Susan's professional experience extends over a broad range of work in education, patient care, and community wellness for over 30 years, providing a well-rounded perspective on real-life nutrition needs outside of the research lab setting. Susan has enjoyed work as an adjunct professor in both biology and clinical nutrition at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah. Besides teaching students, Susan helped develop an experiential nutrition curriculum for the Westminster nursing program and instructed at the Snowbird Continuing Education Conference for physician assistants and nurse practitioners. After relocating to Arizona in 2014 and taking a brief break from teaching, she authored her book, "Mission Nutrition: Calories Matter But They Don't Count...At Least Not the Way You Think They Do", in an effort to help more people understand real food and true health. Susan currently teaches human nutrition at Park University Gilbert campus while also presenting corporate wellness seminars and providing one-on-one consultations to an international client base in her online nutrition practice, www.nutritiousinsight.com. She educates and inspires clients to understand Healthcare with a Food Foundation.
