"Missions and Christian Churches in Africa" is an essay on the different facets of Christianity in Africa. A communicologist of politics and institutions, the director of this work is a former Jesuit. In collaboration with his assistant at the Faculty of Theology, they stir up the question of the "impoverishment of our African faith" which can intrigue.Invited to give the Course of Church History in Africa and the Democratic Republic of Congo in the promotion of the first degree in Pastoral Theology (Université Libre Baptise au Congo: 2019), the idea of this tool inmissiology was born. The history of dogmas is enlightening for this book. And the Gallican priest Guillaume Nyamazabo makes us discover, through the history of the Kingdom of Congo, the truths of a semblance of inculturation of the Christian faith in the face of the age-old tradition of the bakongo. Indeed, certain debates are topical: such as the confrontation which marks the Church and the State today, whereas under theWestern colonization, both are - at least in the Belgian Catholic space - unwavering allies in Africa.
