Eric C. Taylor was born in Texas, the home location of the story in this book. He attended Texas Technological College until called up for active duty in the United States Marine Corps Reserve. Returned to civilian life after two years' service, he became employed in steam power plant electric generation operations. He is the author of over ninety published non-fiction short stories and five books including this novel and one other, "The Canyon of Wild Horses", is about horses. Eric loves horses. At one time years ago, he owned three horses. One of those was a yearling of race horse ancestry.
