Mitchell finds a rope ladder that takes him up into the sky where he finds a whole new world full of pirates. The good pirates onboard the PSS Goodhope are trying to save the endangered Huff 'n Puffs and they regularly battle the bad pirates onboard the PSS Skulduggery. Along the way Mitchell is shown the Map of Stars which leads to the secret labyrinth of caves, where there is a sanctuary for saved Huff 'n Puffs. But once his brother and sister join him in this new world full of pirates, and once he loses the Map of Stars, his world is turned upside down. Can he save his brother and the last Huff 'n Puff from the evil clutches of Captain Skulduggery? Will he return the Map to it's rightful owner? Its a roller coaster ride on the high seas, set high up in the clouds.
