Older people take care of their infected relatives and are also burdened with care of orphan and vulnerable children of relatives who have succumbed to AIDS while still some are living with HIV. This text is about supporting older persons sustain livelihood in multigenerational households. It is driven by the belief that older persons are also at risk of HIV infection and can also infect others and awareness creation and education can reduce the risk, and that provision of seed capital to the older caregivers who lack of access to credit can make a big difference for older persons headed households.
