N.J. Knight grew up on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, where her family owns a haunted wood. She earned degrees in journalism and anthropology from the University of Maryland before working as a journalist for more than a decade. Knight has been published in The Baltimore Sun, Chicago Tribune, and L.A. Times. She is currently writing her first novel in Austin, TX, where she lives with her husband, son, and many, many books.
