This book presents different methodologies to model the occurrence of wildfires and evaluate how they are distributed in space and time. The results may be useful in fire management decision-making and planning and so, may contribute to the prediction and prevention of wildfires.

Laura Serra Saurina, Girona, 1983. PhD in Statistics, University of Girona, 2013.She has developed her methodological and practical research in the field of spatial statistics, in particular, spatio-temporal point processes and spatio-temporal geostatistics, motivated by their applications in the environmental sciences.
