Kishore Kar dedicated 36 years of service to The Dow Chemical Company and retired as an R&D Fellow. He is currently serving as a chemical process technology consultant. Kishore holds 18 US patents and has authored more than 35 publications including two chapters in the Encyclopedia of Chemical Processing published by Taylor & Francis. During his Dow career Kishore led the Global Fluid Mechanics and Mixing Discipline. Kishore received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering (Fluid, Thermal and Aerospace Sciences) from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, USA. Richard Cope received his PhD in Chemical Engineering from Brigham Young University and spent 19+ yrs in chemicals R&D (Dow) and 7+ yrs in biopharma R&D (Eli Lilly, and Alkermes). In 2017 he conceived/co-designed a mixing experiment for the International Space Station. In 2020 he joined SPX FLOW, the world's largest mixing solutions provider. He has co-authored 19 papers/encyclopedia chapters and 7 US or world patents for mixing technologies. Richard was Treasurer of North American Mixing Forum (NAMF) from 2012 to 2024 and recipient of the NAMF Mixing Award in 2020. Juergen Lueske enjoyed 35 years with The Dow Chemical Company. His focus in the Process Engineering group was project planning and process development, with emphasis on modeling and simulation for large projects. In the Fluid Mechanics and Mixing group his focus was calculations and modeling of gas-liquid contactors, especially fermenters and bioreactors. He has authored several papers and co-authored 2 encyclopedia chapters. Juergen received his MS degree in Mechanical and Process Engineering from Leibniz University of Hannover, Germany.
