Dr. Laurence T. Yang, Professor, Department of Computer Science, St. Francis Xavier University research interests include high performance computing and networking, embedded systems, ubiquitous/pervasive computing, computational science and engineering. He has published over 200 papers in refereed journals, conference proceedings and book chapters in this area. He served as the vice-chair of IEEE Technical Committee of Supercomputing Applications (TCSA) until 2004 and is in the executive committee of IEEE Technical Committee of Scalable Computing (TCSC), and of the IEEE Technical Committee of Self-Organization and Cybernetics for Information and others.
