The survival of pulpless teeth restored with a post and core system is a controversial issue. This study evaluate the influence of endodontic and restorative procedures on fracture resistance and mode of failure of teeth. Thirty maxillary central incisors were randomly divided into three groups. (n=10). Three different post systems are used for restoration of teeth.Compressive load was applied at an angle of 130 to the long axis of teeth at a cross head speed of 1 mm/min until fracture occurred. One way ANOVAs were used to determine the difference of the failure loads between the groups. This study showed that the fracture resistance of group III was Significantly higher than group I and group II. A more favourable mode of failure was observed in teeth restored with Group I .
