With globalization there is an increase in demand for the acceptability of high quality and reliable products at an affordable price. In the International arena, it has been felt that the computational methods such as modelling and simulations have become indispensable tools for finding the solutions of many designs and the real life problems. Modern engineering design has been led to realization of appropriate analysis techniques in many technical fields. They are quite complex and much involved for which there is a need for substantial improvements in the computational area. Through computational mechanics and simulation approach, extensive numerical experiments could have been established before accepting the final product. Hence, it is important in the Engineering Education and Industries to keep updated with the latest concepts and tools in the area of modelling and simulation. The present book has been divided in two sections such as Section I consisting of articles confined to modelling and simulation in Mechanical Engineering, while Section II comprises of articles on Modelling and Simulation in Engineering Applications.
