Reinforced concrete deep girders are the structural members which are used widely in the construction sector. The major areas where these members find their application are high rise buildings and bridge structures. There are several analytical models available for the analysis and design of deep beams. The research work done in this book focuses on the investigation of some possible limitations which the 'Two parameter kinematic theory' proposed by (Mihaylov, et al., 2013) and Strut-and-Tie method could have while predicting the shear strength of a deep beam.
