Conceptual cost estimates are critical inputs for owners' decision making in the early planning stages of engineering services projects. This book presents cost models that are capable of reducing the variability in estimates produced in the use of provisional sum for electrical services in residential buildings. Conceptual cost estimates are critical inputs for owners' decision making in the early planning stages of engineering services projects. This book presents cost models that are capable of reducing the variability in estimates produced in the use of provisional sum for electrical services in residential buildings. Cost data were analysed from 33 sets of residential buildings drawings. The data were subjected to regression analyses; common rates were also used in the analysis. Cost models generated in this work using parametric cost estimating methodology can fit in real life cost estimation practice. The cost models have a very good predictive ability at 5% significant level. Also, the productivity constants of electrical technicians at three different site were assessed and aggregated. This book will be of great use to quantity surveyors/estimators, contractors and likewise to project clients and sponsors.
