Florian Ebner situates them in contemporary photography, Bettina Steinbrügge examines the aspect of branding, and Lucy Gallun is concerned with installations.Andrzej Steinbach: Models and Protocols was prepared on the occasion of the artist's first major institutional solo exhibition, which was on view at the Kunstverein in Hamburg in 2022.Andrzej Steinbach, b.1983 in Czarnków (Poland),lives and works in Berlin. In 2015 he graduated as a master student under Professor Heidi Specker at the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig (HGB). He has won various awards, including the 2017 Federal Prize for Art Students, the 2016 Saxon Scholarship Programme for Master Students, and the Wüstenrot Foundation's Promotional Programme for Documentary Photography 11. His work is represented in the collections of MoMA (New York), the Contemporary Art Collection of the Federal Republic of Germany, Folkwang Museum Essen, and Fotomuseum Winterthur. He has featured in exhibitions at MoMA, Kunsthalle Wien, Deichtorhallen Hamburg, Centre for Contemporary Photography (Melbourne), and Bundeskunsthalle Bonn.
