Bashir Mohammed Shawish is a Professor of Linguistics and English Language. He obtained his BA degree in English from Garyounis University in Benghazi in 1970, an MA in Linguistics and English Language from Newcastle University in England in 1976, and an MA and PhD in linguistics from Indiana University in Bloomington, USA in 1984.
