Autorenporträt
Katherine L. Tucker is Professor of Nutritional Epidemiology at Northeastern University. She received herPh.D. from Cornell University and her B.Sc. from the University of Connecticut, both in nutritional science. She is a past Chair of the Nutritional Sciences Council and past board member of the American Society for Nutrition, and she served as an associate editor for The Journal of Nutrition for 8 years. Her research focuses on dietary intake, metabolism, and chronic disease (osteoporosis, diabetes, heart disease, and cognitive decline) in diverse populations. She is currently the director of the Center on Population Health and Health Disparities funded by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute and is a member of the National Institutes of Health Kidney, Nutrition, Obesity and Diabetes (KNOD) study section. She teaches courses on nutrition and nutritional epidemiology.
