The development of green products and processes that are competitive with chemical products and processes is currently based on the concepts of green chemistry and sustainable development. To this end, lipases from different strains are modified by the immobilization process, i.e. adsorption onto a solid support and encapsulation by non-ionic surfactants. They are characterized using scanning electron microscopy techniques, combined with energy dispersive X-ray microanalysis and X-ray diffraction. They are then tested in the production of sugar-based biosurfactants.
