In bacterial wilt disease caused by Ralstonia solanacearum is a serious agricultural problem worldwide leading to significant crop losses especially in regions with a warm and humid climate. Seed borne bacteria achieve greater significance when they are seed transmitted. Seed borne bacteria thus acquire considerable economic significance. In this preliminary investigation, the leaves and flowers were used for isolation of phytochemicals, and extracts were collected by using different solvent systems and subjected to screening against human and plant pathogenic bacteria.
