There is geographical diversity in Bambusa arundinacea of two talukas Danta and Amirgadh of Banaskantha (Gujarat), which also corresponding to the molecular diversity exhibited by RAPD markers. The diverse genotypes selected after geographical and molecular differences are shown differential response for in-vitro micropropagation. The MS medium supplemented with 3.0mg/l BAP can be utilized for shoot proliferation of Bambusa arundinacea. IBA up to 3.0 mg/l could not induced in-vitro rooting therefore higher concentration of IBA or another rooting hormone may be tried.
