A 5-year-old girl likes to think she is helping her mother by preparing snacks, cleaning and entertaining herself, much to her mother's chagrin, when the well-intended help leaves mom with an "oh dear" look or an "oh my goodness" smile. Mom Is So Lucky is told from the creative and charming perspective of a child: How did my mom get so lucky to have such a wonderful child? "What would you do without me?" I asked. But Mom just simply smiled.

Autorenporträt
About the Author: Kim MacLean was inspired to be creative and to set an example for her little girls when they made their own fun inside the house on long, cold winter days. Her girls sat for hours painting and gluing craft materials into works of art on paper. And Kim sat and wrote. Oh the rows and rows of finished masterpieces drying on the floor!! And the hundreds of books they read together! About the Illustrator: Max McKerlie is an artist from Hamilton, Ontario, currently in his third year of a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Western University. Max loves painting and drawing moments that are influenced by everyday life. He has a cat named Fig and a goldfish named Mademoiselle who often make an appearance in his work. Mom Is So Lucky is the first children's book he has illustrated, but he would love to continue down this creative career path.
