Lorna Ramirez is a writer, published author of seven books, the latest is My Heart and Soul Unplugged, published three Ghost writing books. She is also a publisher, motivational speaker, ghost writer, a pianist and a regular contributor of The Philippine Times and the Philippine Community Herald newspaper.She finished her Chemical Engineering degree at the University of Santo Tomas, Philippines and had worked as a Laboratory and Mill Manager at a textile industry in the Philippines. Lorna has travelled extensively, gaining much from her interactions with people all over the world and building strong foundations for her philosophies in life. She loves gardening, cooking and playing the piano both classical and modern.In 1977, with her husband and her son and her daughter she migrated to Australia. She worked as a Lab Technician in Monsanto and was the first female to ever been employed by the company. Then she worked as an Industrial Chemist in one of the leading oil companies in Australia after her degree in Chemical Engineering was recognised in Australia, only retiring in the year 2000 to care for her first grandchild.Lorna Ramirez won third prize for the 2017 writing competition by the Society of Women Writers in Victoria. In 2016, Lorna was one of the certificate of recognition award recipients from the Filipino Community Council of Australia ( FILCCA). Lorna was voted one of the five most inspiring Women of Australia in 2019 by the Women's Association Incorporated. In 2020 she was recognised as one of the two most inspiring woman by the Skylark Foundation in Australia.She is a financial supporter of different charities, National Breast Cancer Foundation and to the different Church dioceses in the western suburbs Victoria. Her future project in mind is the writing of the sequel from her novel Moments of Love, Lust and Ecstasy, a cookbook, and another book for inspirational messages, original poems and quotes.Lorna is often invited to different libraries in Victoria to speak about writing and encouraging young would be writers on how to publish their written manuscriptThroughout her life, Lorna Ramirez, a woman of faith, has been a wise observer of human behaviour and has collected and many wisdoms and observations to produce these inspiring and uplifting books
