Let us consider the story of Victoria. She grew up in an average middle-class family. She loved school and was in the homecoming court all four years of high school. After some tragic events in her family which included the passing of loved ones during her formative teenage years, she began to experiment with drugs and alcohol. She subsequently was raped, underwent multiple abortions and started working as a dancer at local strip clubs which she continued to do for four years. I shared the love of food and fashion with many of my friends but felt turmoil in my heart when so many others that I knew went to bed hungry...
