Originally from Kansas City, Pastor Steve and his family moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, in 1994 with the idea of starting an aggressive church-planting church. Out of that vision and call has come Church at the Gate, with its various ministries, campuses, and daughter churches. His vision is to facilitate church-planting movements, seeing lots of local life-giving churches pop up in this nation and all nations--a vision reflected in his doctoral program. He authored Obtainable Destiny (Creation House) in 2004, based on 1 and 2 Timothy and Titus. He and Kristen have three teenagers--Caleb, Thomas, and Kaitlyn.
