Autorenporträt
Ellen Dalzell (left) is a retired elementary school teacher. Her thirty-eight years of working with children instilled the desire to continue to share her love of reading through the writing of children's books. In addition to writing, Ellen enjoys working in her gardens in order to benefit her favorite pollinators, bees and butterflies. When not outside enjoying nature, Ellen enjoys the company of her two rescue dogs, Linus and Lola. The summer of 2023 will be Ellen's third summer of rescuing and raising monarch butterflies. Penny Brown (right) fell in love with art at an early age. She studied art education and painting at the University of Missouri. She enjoyed teaching art to grades k-12 for thirty-eight years. In the summer she continued to grow as a watercolor artist by painting the beautiful landscapes and architecture around Fayette and Glasgow, Missouri. Penny stays busy in her retirement traveling with her husband, volunteering at children's camps, and a yearly medical mission trip to Central America.
