This book deals with the development and application of a methodology to monitor wear in riser and stiffener specimens, tested in a tribometer capable of performing full-scale sliding wear tests. The events that occurred during the wear process of these samples were correlated with the vibrations in the structure of the tribometer, which were obtained through a routine for acquisition, monitoring and saving of vibration signals developed in Labview® software. It was concluded that the routine developed allowed the evaluation of the dominant frequencies of the vibration signals, obtained during the sliding wear test. It was found that the peak of the vibration amplitude was located at 16.71 Hz, which should be related to the wear process.
