This monograph propose new rational quartic spline with linear denominator. It has three parameters. This new rational spline has been used for monotonicity preserving interpolation. The sufficient condition for the monotonicity is derived and all the three parameters can be further utilized to obtain the desired interpolating curves. Furthermore error analysis also has been given in details. Comparison with some existing schemes also have been done. From all numerical results, our rational quartic spline give comparable results with existing schemes.
