Waking up in a stellar futuristic world where souls can literally be lost at the drop of a hat, Monsieur Loup (Muhsyuh Lou) sets out to find his lost soul. In his search, he finds a colorful cast of characters that take Loup into unimaginable realms. He finds himself on a desolate landscape, within his own self, but on what star? He is in pursuit of himself within an astral voyage where everything, from the lowliest insect and inert rock, to grand philosopher, is part of the "Sacred," and therefore, part of his own soul. What does he expect to find within this unknown realm? The true meaning of love? Loup is, above all, an adventurer. Through his wanderings, stepping from adventure to adventure, he enters the forbidden shadows of dreams, stepping over the stones of his imaginary, surrounded by the light of day and the darkness of night, confronting chaos and new, otherworldly beings... to discover himself among the chaos. He shows us an infinite number of paths that lead us to this other forgotten reality: that of the story itself. Translated into English by Linda Olsen Fitak from the original text in French, "Monsieur Loup" by Jean-Loup Philippe. Monsieur Loup received the distinction of the Prix du Premier Roman, the Prize of First Novel, in 2004, in France.
