John Meade Falkner (1858-1932) was an English novelist and poet, best known for his 1898 novel, Moonfleet. As well as an author, Falkner was a successful businessman who travelled widely, using the trips around the world to explore his lifelong love of learning - and strike up a friendship with the Pope!
