Mike Jenkins is a full-time writer and teacher of creative writing who has more than 30 years of experience teaching in secondary education. He is the former editor of Poetry Wales, the coeditor and founder of Red Poets magazine, and the author of Red Landscapes: New and Selected Poems; This House, My Ghetto; and Wanting to Belong. He is the recipient of an Eric Gregory Award, a John Tripp Award for Spoken Poetry, and a Welsh Arts Council Young Writers' Prize. A number of his stories have been adapted for radio, and he writes regularly for the Cardiff City FC fanzine.
