From the author of Plantains and the Seven Plagues, comes the second inspirational, heartwarming book that weaves with eloquence and grace the story of Finn-whom we first met in Just Finn-a young autistic man who must navigate the world on his own now that he is an adult and no longer living in the shadow of his abusive parents... A lot has happened to Finn since that fateful day, several years ago, when he first met psychiatrist, Dr. Vincenzo-or Dr. V as Finn calls him-at the diner, and he began his journey to overcoming the lifelong obstacles he's faced with Asperger's syndrome. Taken in by Emilio and Santina Rossi, Finn finally knows what it means to truly belong to a family-and to be loved unconditionally. His girlfriend, Kelly, has also helped Finn make enormous strides. And finally, with a master's degree in tow and a job offer from the CIA to join their ranks as a cryptologist, his future has never looked brighter. But even with all that he's accomplished, Finn still can't fully put behind him the verbal abuse he suffered at the hands of his biological mother and father-a father who took every opportunity to remind his son that he was nothing more than "a moron," and a mother who institutionalized him whenever she couldn't cope. As Finn works to continue to build his confidence, meet his personal and professional goals, and take risks, he learns that life is all about the people you choose to surround yourself with-the ones who believe in him, support his dreams, and help him on the road to discovering that he's... more than just Finn... he is a member of my family and possibly yours.
