John Torrey is a teacher and coach with over a decade of experience in the classroom and on the sidelines. As an equipment manager at Doane University in Crete, Nebraska, John interned with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's football team, worked three Super Bowls for the NFL, and, after graduating, held positions with Iowa State University Football and the San Francisco 49ers. In 2016, he earned a master's degree in coaching and athletic administration from Concordia University Irvine, where The Process of the 'Ship was created. Today John and his wife Rachel raise three children in Denison, Iowa, where he teaches seventh-grade Social Studies and coaches high school football and wrestling.
