He was the hot topic of conversation in His day. From angels to ardent disciples to bitter enemies, much was said of Jesus of Nazareth. The New Testament Gospels and Book of Acts record 114 conversations. They ranged from high praise to bitter denunciation. But did they really know what they were saying? Just like preaching and teaching today, finite minds were attempting to express truth about an infinite God. In each case, there were implications of spiritual truth that they could not possibly understand. They were saying more than they knew. This book is an exploration of each of these conversations. In these pages, you will find inspiration, encouragement, and hope for daily living. More Than They Knew also contains resources for pastors and teachers, many drawn from the author's own life and ministry experience.
Autorenporträt
Jerry D. Moore is a retired pastor with thousands of hours of experience in preaching and teaching. Prior to entering fulltime ministry, he spent years in the rough-and-tumble world of corporate business. He doesn't just speak from the ivory tower of the pastor's study. He has spent much time in the trenches, where people live. In addition to pastoring local churches, he served on short-term mission trips to a number of US states and four foreign countries. He and his wife live in a rural setting near Abbeville, Mississippi.
