More Than Words Can Say is a collection of poems covering many things. Some of these are for historical towns, and programs that I was asked to write and read for. The main purpose for my poetry is to lift up the spirits of those who need it, Help them with loss, or just bring a smile to a sad face. This is my sixth book of poetry, and I hope to keep on writing for a long time. It was once said that Poetry Is The Music Of The Soul, and I believe it. Poems included in this book run the gamut from honoring the British and Canadian sailors who washed up on our shores during World War Two, to the Underground Railroad from the same period, to histories of places and towns, Blessings Of The Fleet in different places, onward to things happening today. The loss of a loved one, a child going to enter the armed forces, and so very much more. A birth, a death, a marriage, a milestone in one's life, or a loss of hope. All of these combine to bring us to realize that in many ways we are blessed much more than words can say. We learn from our mistakes, and our trials strengthen us. If we could all just take a few minutes every day to contemplate our place in the great scheme of all things, we would see ourselves more clearly, and learn to reach ever higher for that which we endeavor.
