The book on Deformation and Geomorphology of the Sub-Himalayas explores into the intricate interactions between endogenic and exogenic earth processes that shape the landforms. The endogenic processes mainly comprise the sub-surface tectonic forces that build the topography whereas exogenic processes mainly comprise the surface erosive forces that degrade the uplifted topographic features. Deformation and Geomorphology are the main focus of such investigations. Identification and delineation of deformation and geomorphic features that are evidences to past and active tectonic scenarios are the very first and small significant step to the overall understanding of landscape evolution. The Morni Hills in the Sub-Himalayan belt are the youngest part of the Himalayan tectonic wedge. They are made of Siwalik rocks that demonstrate beautiful deformation and geomorphic features. These features have been brought together to work out their tectonic history and landscape evolution.
