Morning sickness, also known as nausea gravidarum, emesis gravidarum or pregnancy sickness is a condition that affects more than half of all pregnant women. Symptoms are often present in the early hours of the morning and reduce as the day progresses. But, in spite of its common name, the condition can occur at any time of the day and for most women, it stops around the 12th week of pregnancy.
