Randall James served thirty-one years in government, including more than twenty-four years with the City of Orlando. More recently, he was the president of First Orlando Foundation (FOF) and associate pastor of First Baptist Church/Orlando from 1997 to 2003. Born and raised in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, he attended the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, served in the United States Air Force, and after receiving his Honorable Discharge, married Irma Rowe James. They have been married forty-six years and have one daughter, Lori (husband, Gene Shipley), and two teenage grandchildren, Chase and Hayley. The family resides in Orlando, Florida.
