The study aimed at make out the long-term lagoons' morphological variations with modelling the relationships between the various physico-chemical factors and biological parameter in order to study the morphological and biogeochemical status of Pulicat lagoon, India and proclaiming an environmental management plan for the lagoon. The measures for sustainable management of Pulicat considering the complexity in the distribution of the nutrients were suggested.

Dr.G.Edwin Jeba Kumar received his PhD from Anna University, Chennai, India.Dr. Usha Natesan is working as Professor at the Centre for Water Resources, Anna University, Chennai, India. She received her PhD in Ocean Engineering from IITM, Chennai, India and was conferred with D.Litt. by Lincoln University College, Malaysia.
