Morphological and cytological diversity of some yams (Dioscorea spp.) in Sierra Leone is an indebt study of classification and interrelationships of the morphology and cytology of yams. It consists of findings obtained from my MSc Thesis at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), South Africa. The eminent confusion among existing genotypes grown in the sub-region led to conduct of the study. The crop's taxonomy, morphology, floral biology, breeding scheme, technique for cytological research including some statistical procedures are also examined. This book will be a valuable resource material to agricultural students, lecturers, researchers and agricultural workers. The book contains illustrations such as diagrams, photographs and a wealth of valuable information from other sources.
