Morphological Characterization of Local Aus Rice Germplasm experiments were conducted to determine morphological characteristics of eleven local Aus rice varieties such as Aus dhan, Lema, Chitri, Ausaloi, Aus gara binni, Kajli, Gori, Pankhiraj, Kumri aus, Surjomoni and Kalokochi. The morphological characters, yield and yield components were significantly different among the varieties. Kajli produced maximum tillers (13 tillers hill-1), flag leaf area (57cm2), effective tillers (11 effective tillers hill-1), straw yield and grain yield (4 t ha-1). Aus gara binni produced the highest plant…mehr

Morphological Characterization of Local Aus Rice Germplasm experiments were conducted to determine morphological characteristics of eleven local Aus rice varieties such as Aus dhan, Lema, Chitri, Ausaloi, Aus gara binni, Kajli, Gori, Pankhiraj, Kumri aus, Surjomoni and Kalokochi. The morphological characters, yield and yield components were significantly different among the varieties. Kajli produced maximum tillers (13 tillers hill-1), flag leaf area (57cm2), effective tillers (11 effective tillers hill-1), straw yield and grain yield (4 t ha-1). Aus gara binni produced the highest plant height, panicle length and highest filled grain panicle-1 but the lowest number of tiller hill-1, number of effective tiller hill-1, straw yield and grain yield. Ausaloi produced the lowest 1000 grain weight (16g) and Pankhiraj yielded the highest harvest index. Among all, the shortest variety was Surjomoni. Kumri aus had the shortest duration (87 days) to maturity. The overall results of the field experiment demonstrated that Kajli had the best performance for grain yield.
