The research was carried out in Vista Hermosa Casa Blanca, Pillcosay, district and province of Acobamba, Huancavelica region; located at UTM (m) East X: 547372 and UTM (m) North Y: 8580732, altitude 3434 masl. The objectives were: morphological characterization, identification of the species and evaluation of its potential for medical use of Bomarea sp, wild plant found in Vista Hermosa Casa Blanca Acobamba Huancavelica Peru". it is inferred that the genus and species found is Bomarea bracteata, with 85% germination viability, period "sowing - harvest" with assisted sexual seed 176 days, "total crop cycle" propagated with globose tubers 192 days, water demand by transpiration, in mm/day 238.30 mm/campaign, equivalent water requirement by transpiration of 41.37 m3/ha, for a density of 173611 plants/ha, conducted in external closed lysimeters with controlled irrigation, productive average of 47 fox potato tubers/lysimeter with a total weight of 1045.00 grams (32656.25 kilograms/hectare), with potential for medical use.
