Some previous studies for character recognition were also referred and a working MATLAB ( MATLAB by Mathworks ) Program has been created that extracts License plate regions only and displays the actual Characters (Vehicle Registration Number or License plate characters)

Phalgun Pandya has completed Masters of Engineering in Electronic Instrumentation and Control Engineering in 2011 from Thapar Universiy, Patiala, Punjab (India). He has studied various aspects of Vehicle License Plate recognition in Indian conditions under guidance of Mr. M.D. Singh.Phalgun is currently working as system engineer at IBM India.
