The predatory coccinellids play very important role in agr0-ecosystem by predating the population of various soft bodied insect pests like aphid, etc. There are different species of these predatory beetles and proper identification is required for their use in biological control programme. Morphometric studies of such species is one of the way to identify these coccinellids. The most common species Coccinella transversalis play a vital role in reducing large number of insect pests so for its mass multiplication at large scale there is a need to understand the biology, feeding potential, relative toxicity of various insecticides to this species.
