Joel leRoy Hunt grew up in the mountains of Montana. He graduated from high school in a mining and cattle ranch town named Sheridan in 1971 with 25 other classmates. He studied accounting in college and earned a bachelor's degree in 1978. He practiced as a CPA in Idaho for 30 years.¿¿Joel married his college sweetheart Dianne in 1976 and they are the seasoned parents of six children and 20 grandchildren. While his kids were growing up, Joel spent most of his free time with his family playing football, frisbee and baseball in their back yard, jumping on the trampoline in the rain, basketball in the driveway, fishing on the Snake River, camping in Idaho and Oregon, backpacking in the Idaho mountains, tennis in most any weather and an occasion round of golf.¿¿Adversity has not been a stranger in Joel's life. As he progressed in his career, he began to suffer from depression. He subsequently developed diabetes. With renewed faith in God and the help of skilled medical professionals, Joel regained control of his health. Joel now enjoys the freedom of retirement, fishing, camping, Rook, sports, his posterity, reading and creative writing.
