Mosquitoes serve as important vector of viruses, parasites, protozoan and other pathogens from infected animal/reservoirs to human and other animals. Studying the mosquito population in human inhabited areas is really important factor for public health departments and to the strategies of their control. It is really important to know their behavior, biology and reproduction cycle in order to better draw controlling programs. Mosquitoes are differently attracted by collecting traps, and their trappability is essential in determining the trap type for a mosquito specific collection method. Our study in focused in the recreational areas around Selangor State in Malaysia to know the mosquito species that are present, their distribution and attractiveness to different collection traps, other collection techniques, as well as studying their biting activity during the night to define the time the mosquito can bite in order to avoid or reduce movement in these areas. Usually, people try to avoid rustic and urban vacation close to the areas where the mosquito abundance is higher. Our study concluded that different mosquito species have different biting time or activity.
