Vedrana Rudan was born in Opatia, Croatia. Formerly a journalist, Rudan wrote for a number of years for Nacional, Croatiäs largest newspaper. She has published nearly a dozen books, including Night and Love at Last Sight , which have been published by Dalkey Archive.
