This study describes and explains the degree of correlation between teacher motivation and their work performance, analyzing the level of development of each of the variables. In this sense, the problem and objective that guided the research consisted of determining the relationship between teacher motivation and their work performance in the Educational Institutions of the town of Santa Elena, El Dorado province in the year 2019.Indeed, the relationship between teacher motivation and their work performance in the Educational Institutions of the town of Santa Elena, El Dorado province, in the San Martin Region during the period 2019 is 0.81; that is, there is a high relationship with positive direction; which means, that teachers who have a good level of internal and external motivation are positively associated with their work performance, both at the level of their pedagogical and social functions.
